[Case Study of Visualizing Forklifts] Indoor Positioning System

Introducing an example of visualizing the operational status of a forklift.

We would like to introduce a case study utilizing the position and motion analysis tool "InQross Kaizen Maker" at an automotive parts manufacturing factory. In this factory, three forklifts are in operation to move large materials used during the manufacturing of automotive parts. Since forklifts are expensive equipment, monitoring their operational status is a crucial point for managing the factory, determining whether to increase or decrease their number. InQross Kaizen Maker enables not only the visualization of human activities but also the visualization of moving objects. By attaching human tags to the forklifts, we successfully visualized their operational rates and dwell states, albeit in a simplified manner. 【Case Overview】 ■ Analysis - Verified the operational rate of the forklifts based on the activity motion ratio. - Examined dwell locations using a heatmap. ■ Results Successfully visualized the operational status of the forklifts: - The operational rate for all three forklifts is approximately 60%, which is generally good. - Adding supports when placing materials on pallets could further increase the operational rate. - The work locations are as planned. *For more details, please download the catalog.
